May 18th
Wednesdays 4pm
It’s a funny little routine, as routines go.
Waiting for little Sophia to say hello.
Not that she ever does.
Each week we have a scenario,
Of whether they can connect and go;
Or does the little circle go round and round.
Then no connection found.
And then, like today…
Pow! And Sophie…
hey!
We talk to her and make her smile,
And sing to her for a while.
Bare necessities of life will come to you
Under the sea, life is no troubles
Under the
bubbles.
And it’s hectic, and it’s fun, singing to the Disney
bands
But poignant too
When we don’t know how much she really understands.
And then,
Wait.
For the Morry’s shop chaos to arrive
From 4.30pm to 5.
Bags and bags of food and stuff,
Just enough,
To see us through the week.
But, now we live in town,
It’s so much easier to pop out
To butchers and bakers.
When the fancy it takes us
Then again…
Like today.. wait…
We’re still waiting.
For a rug from Amazon,
That we suspect, even though its due today,
Won’t come.
But we wait.
For from us there won’t be any mutiny
It’s just part of a funny, little routiney.
